A small evergreen tree from south-eastern Australia, grown for its round, silver-blue, fragrant juvenile leaves, which are widely cut for floral arrangements. The bark is reddish brown and peels on the smaller stems, becoming grey and stringy on the trunk. Clusters of small creamy-white flowers with many stamens are followed by woody seed capsules.
