A shrub or small tree of the custard-apple family from the Pacific lowlands of Mexico and northern Central America, closely related to the cherimoya, sugar apple and soursop. Its Spanish names, anona blanca and anona amarilla, refer to the pale or rosy flesh of its fruit. Detailed horticultural descriptions were not found in the allowed sources.
