A fast-growing small tree with slender trunks, arching branches and a vase-shaped crown. Its leaves are two-lobed, like a cloven hoof, and in the dry season it bears clusters of fragrant, orchid-like flowers at the branch tips; in this variety they are white rather than the purplish tones of the typical form. Flat brown pods follow and hang on the tree for months.
